DESCRIPTION:
Netherlands, Frisian stoelklok, 30 hour, time and strike with alarm, weight driven movement with verge escapement, the clock resting on a polychrome painted shelf with mermaids and painted floral decoration, lead ornaments throughout, Roman numeral painted, arcaded dial with landscape painting with windmills above, and pierced brass hands.
CONDITION:
Some repairs and paint loss to the painted wooden shelf. The mermaids are dark, but well-painted. Typical baluster turned brass four pillar movement. Pendulum is absent. Dust shields are missing. One large brass clad weight is included in the lot.
